Senses & Stillness retreats
Yoga and more... The Senses & Stillness retreats in Bali are a fusion of yoga, imagery, creative writing, and Balinese culture, creating a unique expansive experience which deepens the sense of space and connection to the present.

Developing from the yoga foundation strengthened during the retreat, the camera and creative writing are introduced as ‘stillness’ tools, providing a meditative focus for the senses and the mind which opens often unexpected knowledge and wisdom from deep within. Combined with yoga and an insight into Balinese culture, the results are inspiring! For a recent review of a collaborative retreat, see ‘Soul Searching in Bali’, in the Sydney Morning Herald & The Age, 21 August 2010

About the Retreat partners
Vijoleta, an internationally accredited yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance RYT), has a PhD in science, and over 20 years background in creativity, people, leadership, innovation... Her passions have taken her around the world, and she is continually inspired by the beauty which lies within people and the world we live in, and within the stillness of the moment. From these experiences, together with her personal spiritual foundation, she has created the concept of these unique creative fusion retreats - an experience unlike any other! Vijoleta spends 3-4 months a year in Bali, teaching volunteer English classes and yoga to local Balinese people. In August 2010 she was invited to the Sanur Village Festival to teach dawn yoga on the beach for 80-100 Balinese people.

Ketut brings the Balinese balance to the experience... Ketut is the on the ground partner in Bali, and also spends time with visitors to Bali who are particularly interested in understanding some of the daily spirituality and culture of Bali. His knowledge of Balinese culture is embedded in his life within a deep spiritual foundation, and it is from this place in his heart, that he shares his passion for his culture.

Bali Projects
The profits from the retreats are used to fund small projects with Balinese people (currently, seed a small business, and help children with school needs).

Location
The Bali retreats are located in the beautiful mountain rice fields of Penestanan, near the cultural heart of Ubud. This provides the ideal tranquil setting for the retreats, with spacious grounds and easy walks into nearby rice fields, temples, warungs (local eating places), and Ubud centre.http://m.smh.com.au/travel/soul-searching-in-bali-20100820-137sh.htmlhttp://m.smh.com.au/travel/soul-searching-in-bali-20100820-137sh.htmlshapeimage_3_link_0shapeimage_3_link_1
